Hi Rose

Just wondering how you got on at your appointment last Friday. Hope you were given good information and a plan for treatment.

Hello All,

Well had my Specialist appointment. I must say she was very nice gave me a thorough
examination.

The good news is that the x rays from February have showed no further progression of the RA
so that is especially pleasing. ThumpUp

She said that the inflammation levels are still showing. I am still having great fatigue and pain
and swellings etc. The pain in chest I described earlier is also still there. ThumbDown So next is to have
another MRI scan to see if anything sinister. Also being referred to a Physio to help with my walking
etc. She said my muscles were 'floppy' not quite sure really what that means, but that the
physio will/should help.

Also, I was given a booklet regarding fibromyalgia to read and she is writing to my GP to suggest
change in tablets. I have read the booklet and it appears that a lot of the symptoms do refer to me.
I don't know it all so confusing but if this is an 'extra' thing I have it could be reason why I feel
like I do.

Is not offerring another course of RTX. Seeing her again in December and she will see how things are then
but possibly may start me back on MTX again to see if a re-introduction may be of benefit.

I presume that a course of RTX stays in ones system for some time ?

Need some warm weather as the cold does appear to make my feet and hands etc. very painful.

Thank you friends for all your support.Smile

hi Rose,

glad to hear you had a thorough examination, and that the RA hasn't progressed, at least that's one less thing to worry about.

let's hope the MRI scan gives good results. interesting to hear about "floppy muscles" that might at least explain your falls .. and hopefully Physio will pick up on what is the best for you.

it seems a long time to wait till December for your next appointment but i am guessing a lot will depend on what the MRI shows if anything? but at least your GP will be looking after you,

hope you feel better about things after this appointment as i know how long you had to wait.

take care,

Suzanne x

Hi Rose

I'm glad that the x-rays show no further damage to your joints and i hope the MRI scan shows nothing else to worry about for you. I'm also still getting that same pain on and off though so maybe it could be to do with the RA. Who know with with this illlness!!

It often concerns me that the doctors always seem to say 'oh it's the RA' with anything that crops up now. Is it the same with you?

Good Luck Rose.

Love Shirley x
